“Now that I’m in the Mining Industry, there is no other industry I would rather be in.”
I joined Wesfarmers Curragh 3½ years ago initially as a Financial Accountant in the Commercial Department. I started my career as an Undergrad in a Chartered Firm. After graduating, working abroad, and working in tax, I took the Financial Accounting position at Curragh which was my first time in the Mining Industry.
After two years in this role, an opportunity came up in the Marketing Department and I was encouraged to apply. I moved to the Marketing Department to learn more about the business and see what happened at the ‘front line’. Because we are a smaller mining company I’m given more breadth of responsibilities.
I love the culture of the Marketing Department and I work with a great group of people that make coming to work a joy. While I’ve been here, Curragh has helped support me in achieving my CPA status and continued professional development .
