I joined Wesfarmers Resources 18 months ago as a Graduate Accountant.  After working for a chartered accounting firm I decided to make the move to practice accounting in a commercial environment and Wesfarmers Resources has given me that opportunity.

What appealed to me about Wesfarmers Resources was their natural organisational passion to be industry leaders.  Wesfarmers Resources has been committed to my development as a young professional through mentoring and providing excellent support in undertaking my CPA studies. As a budding accountant I have enjoyed exposure to everything from the preparation of financial accounts and management accounts to the preparation of statutory returns for the company, giving me the opportunity to grow as a young professional. I especially enjoy the opportunities when I swap my suit and tie for a hard hat and steel cap boots and travel to our mine sites to complete specific projects as required.

With my Bachelor’s degree in International Business and Commerce, I believe that the opportunities within Wesfarmers Resources and the Wesfarmers Group for me are endless.  It feels like the future is truly in my hands. I have gotten to know everyone in the office well and they are well aware of my passion for food so it would only be fitting to describe Wesfarmers Resources as a buffet of opportunity. Wesfarmers Resources has a strong growth focus and I am excited to be a part of the company as we continue to grow from strength to strength.
