I’ve been involved with the Curragh Mine since 1989 when I joined its previous US owner.   After Wesfarmers acquired the mine in 2000, I became a legal consultant to several companies, including Wesfarmers Resources at the time of the Curragh North expansion.  

I enjoyed consulting but when Wesfarmers asked me to join them in 2008, I well understood the challenges, the values, and more importantly the people I would be working with—and so it was a very easy decision. And I’ve not been disappointed.

While enjoying the commercial challenges and contributing to outcomes that will see Wesfarmers Resources embrace new opportunities, at this stage in my career, I see my most personally rewarding contribution is to act as mentor/coach. A recent example of this was the opportunity for me and my team to participate in the Indigenous Work Experience Program.

I look forward to what the future holds, it’s terrific, and it’s in our hands!
