Managing Director, Wesfarmers Resources
Stewart holds a Bachelor of Science (Geology), Graduate Diploma in Business, Diploma of Mining, and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. In addition he holds both NSW and QLD Mine Managers Certificates. He has worked in the coal mining industry in New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia. He joined Wesfarmers in 2000 following Wesfarmers' acquisition of the Curragh mine. In June 2002 he was appointed Managing Director of Wesfarmers Premier Coal and in September 2006 was appointed Managing Director of Wesfarmers Resources. Stewart is a director of a number of Wesfarmers subsidiaries and is also on the board of the Minerals Council of Australia, Australian Coal Association Low Emission Technology and the Queensland Resources Council. He was previously on the Executive Council of the WA Chamber of Mines and Energy and served on the South West Development Commission in Western Australia. Stewart is responsible for the Curragh mine at Blackwater and the 40 per cent owned Bengalla mine in New South Wales.
General Manager, Wesfarmers Curragh
Craig holds a Bachelor of Mining from the University of South Australia, a Bachelor of Science and a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from the Queensland University of Technology. He has worked in the mining industry in Western Australia and Queensland since 1994. He commenced working at the Curragh mine as a mining engineer in 2001 and has over 10 years experience with Curragh. He has held positions at the mine including Manager Business Improvement, Manager Technical Services and Mining Manager prior to being appointed General Manager in March 2012. Craig’s interests include travel, rugby and the theatre. Craig is a director of Wesfarmers Resources Limited and Curragh Queensland Mining Pty Ltd.
